On Saturday the 6th of may, A man was caught on camera at a 711 station robbing the store with underwear over his head as identity protection. He walked in through the entrance of the 711 holding a cricket bat demanding cigarettes, a bottle of Passito and a snickers bar. The manager apparently felt “sorry for the man” having to go to such desperate measures for cigarettes. Unable to control his laughter, surprisingly with it not agrivating the suspect, he gave the man the items he demanded before ringing police. The store manager described the man to be about 6ft in height, dark brown eyes and lanky build.
“He just wanted a durry, I was feelin good so I thought id let him embarrass himself for one and THEN call police” stated the manager.
