Marion man charged with aggravated assault

MARION, Iowa – A Marion man was arrested earlier this evening after an incident resulted in an assault that took place at a Kum and Go gas station.

Steven Dalton, 24, of Marion, was charged with aggravated assault when he was aggressive towards a disrespectful customer. He was an employee of the store. Police say he was off work and took frustrations out on someone for allegedly attempting to gain free stuff through allegedly scam. Dalton had then attacked the customer, resulting in serious injuries. He had since been in stable condition as Mercy hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Dalton was then arrested by Marion Police after a witness called 911. His court date is next week.
