Olympia passes new modified vehicle laws

Effective June 25th 2017, there will be a law prohibiting suspension modification to motor vehicles, exclusively registered in Olympia, Washington. Many vehicles in the Olympia/Lacey Area, are lifted or lowered, despite the city being littered with potholes the size of Mt. Raineer. This means that owners of vehicles with modified suspension components will be forced to return their vehicles to stock height. If they do not by June 25th, they run the risk of having their vehicles impounded and will receive a $1,738 fine. This new law will drastically effect businesses in Olympia/Lacey, as well as outlying neighborhoods that modify vehicle suspensions, and hurt the companies that produce the equipment.
