One of The National Lottery’s Winners Advisors will be visiting the ticket holder to validate the claim and then to pay the prize. At this meeting the ticket-holder can decide whether to go public and share their news or remain anonymous.
No information is released whether it is an individual or syndicate winner, or where the ticket was purchased unless the ticket holder decides to go public.
This is the second EuroMillions jackpot won in this country in the past four weeks. The ticket holder has been catapulted into 18th place in The National Lottery Rich List behind an anonymous ticket-holder who won £37.8 million in September 2012. Top of the list are Colin and Chris Weir from Largs who banked £161 million in July 2011.
As well as the amazing jackpot win, ten players in the UK won £1 million and a private yacht getaway in the Mega Friday draw.
