In the mid-morning hours of May 7, with a joint task force of Federal Marshals and local law enforcement agencies, several suspects are being sought in connection with multiple sex-shop burglaries. Their activity was first discovered on several gay porn websites where one known suspect was revealing many of the events in private chats with undercover Law Enforcement officers posing as gay and transgendered male escorts. The ring-leader is identified as one Nik Baron, a local Polk County resident, pictured lower-right.
Attempts to apprehend Baron led to a very low-speed chase as the suspect fled on a gray Honda motorcycle. Bicycle police were nearly successful catching up to the slower Baron but he managed to jump onto the rear seat of another of the groups Suzuki sportbikes of which police were unable to follow.
If you spot Baron or the group pictured, please call your local police and do not approach the suspect.
