Popular Rover Sitter Arrested in Baking Scheme

Rover.com is a popular dog sitting site where people advertise themselves as pet sitters for local dogs and cats in their area.

A local Boston area sitter has now been arrested in connection with a potential underground baking scheme.

Boston police are reporting that customers are reporting coming home from vacation to mysterious residue of frosting and smells of baked goods in their homes. One customer even reported that their was damage to her oven and her cupcake pans were missing.

“We are taking this situation very seriously.” says Boston officer Joe Tebmer. “It is a high priority to us to ensure the safety of the homeowners and pets involved in this situation.”

Cupcakes and Brownies baked by the local Rover employee are turning up in local farmers markets and bake shops statewide.

Rover customers in the Boston area that feel that their house may have been used in this scheme are encouraged to contact Boston Police Department with any leads they may have. Signs may include but are not limited to: frosting in or around the kitchen, missing cupcake pans, and the smell of baked goods.
