School fined for serving students CAT MEAT in canteen

Whitworth Community High School near to Rochdale has been fined Β£25,000 after it emerged that the chicken they were serving was actually cat meat.
The revelation was made when a surprise health inspection found six dead cats in a freezer with one boiling in a stove.
The canteen, which is owned by Lancashire Food Direct was allowed to continue serving for the rest of the day, while inspectors worked to remove the cat meat from the premises.
They admitted to serving cat meat instead of chicken for the last 4 years, arguing that it is ‘cheaper’ and ‘tastes exactly the same’.
No one at the school was available for comment, however, the school has reportedly issued a formal apology to all parents and staff.
No arrests have been made so far.
