Early Monday Morning on 5/15/17 at approximately 0400hrs. North Plainfield Police responded to multiple 911 calls of shots fired on Washington Avenue and W Front St. Plainfield Police got a tip from witnesses and was told a White Honda Civic Coupe older model with tinted windows and New Jersey plates was leaving the scene, and contacted North Plainfield Police department through mutual aid.
No one was struck in the unfortunate shooting early this morning, but several 9mm shell casing was recovered from detectives on the scene as well as CSI. Detectives from the North Plainfield Police Department in conjunction with detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Squad and the Crime Scene Investigations and Forensics Units responded to conduct the investigation.
