When Matthew Copelin of Tallahassee was a kid, he loved to squash bugs. Now 42, Matthew has turned his childhood passion into an outdoor experience that as he says, “City folks come from near and yonder to try.” Bug Stomping, Squashing and Smooshin Tours, LLC offers several different packages for would be thrill seekers, but Copelin says his most popular offering is his overnight creek bed “Beatle Buster”, where customers get to brave the dark, snakes, mosquitos and other critters in the hunt to bust some beatles wide open.
Copelin has no plans on retiring from his day job just yet, but he knows a booming business when he finds one. He has a final message for people thinking about joining him on an adventure. “Get you some shoes and give me a call and I’ll show you how to squash some bugs.”
