TDCJ Plans to Get Rid of Over 2,000 Employees

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice is planning to get rid of over 2,000 employees. Units all over Texas are starting to over populate with inmates and officers. The Board of Directors determined on Friday that they feel it is best to start sending people home, indefinitely. The employees that are going to be let go are the one’s who have less than four years of experience in working at TDCJ. Inmates will be determined by good time and their offences. Any inmate with less than a year until their release date will not have to be on parole after their release.
