Hawkins county police arrested two teens in a home burglary after a citizen tip Friday morning, according to Metro Police.
South Precinct officers responded to the burglary in progress call at 9 a.m. in the 500 block of Dunailie Drive after a citizen reported seeing a white car backed into the driveway and several young men standing nearby.
According to police, one of the young men was armed with what appeared to be a long gun. Police said shots were heard and the men drove off. There were bullet strikes in the home’s door and window.
Officer Colin Feeney saw a Hyundai Elantra that matched the description of the suspect vehicle backed into a home in the 500 block of Glenpark Drive a short time later. As he approached the car, several people fled on foot.

Police anticipate additional arrests, they said.
The Elantra, which had been struck by gunfire, was reported stolen in Clarksville.
