Trump bans seafood on EBT. “We did it!”

Today reporters caught a glimpse of Trump before he hopped on Air Force heading to Mar-a-Lago, his luxurious home and resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
“We did it!” He has now banned many items from being purchased on EBT.
I have seen people purchasing filet mignons and crab legs with their EBT cards,” he said. “When the average Anerican can’t afford it. I don’t want people on the taxpayer’s dime to afford those kinds of foods either.”
The goal of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is to help low-income consumers make wise and healthy food choices β€” however, SNAP beneficiaries are able to use their taxpayer-funded EBT cards to purchase things like soda, candy, cake and other types of junk food and luxury items,” the statement says, referring to electronic benefit transfer.
