Arrest warrant issued for local Westchester man for unpaid toll

WHITE PLAINS, NY (News 12 Westchester) – The Westchester County Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for a local Westchester County man who was involved in multiple unpaid toll bills because of traveling on New York City Bridges and Tunnels with no EZ Pass tag.

According to a WCPD tweet, DeVaughn Webb was identified as the driver of a 2013 Scion that was involved in 5 accounts toll evasion from January to May of this year. Due to the massive amount of traffic jams in the city, on January 2nd, 2017, Govenor Cuomo (D) passed a new law prohibiting New York State drivers without a EZ Pass tag to travel on certain bridges and tunnels. Sources say Webb is just one of thousands who will be issued warrants for unpaid toll bills this coming year.

“Let this be a lesson to people who, you know, think they can get away with driving and not paying the toll. You have to have EZ Pass.” , Deputy director Arnold Pain said to us. More details to develop.
