Darrell Bain, 52 of the Gold Coast has won himself the opportunity of a lifetime in winning 2017’s Wild Card entry to the PGA Championship.
“Here I was sitting on the shitter scrolling through Facebook when the call came through, I was thinking I was pretty much done and that call had me in evacuation mode all over again!” he states recalling the moment he received his call up.
Bain has the opportunity to walk away with a minimum prize money total of $45,000AUD or if he can pull off the big miracle a smooth $1,000,000AUD.
“Mate, do you know how much Rum and Camping Gear a fella can buy with that kinda coin?” he says with a smile.
When talking about his new found success on the course, Bain refers to a strong support from his stunning and loving partner, Lisa and his Blended Family of 8 wonderful children. But above all his newest addition.
“A few weeks ago my “baby Girl” came into my life and she has given me a drive like I never imagined, she is my world and my inspiration.”
Now many would believe this is in reference to a late in life birth of a child, but Bain’s “Baby Girl” is in fact an 8 month old Bull Arab cross (pictured with Bain)
