Body found in North Jackson

23yr old Lakia Bowen, was last scene with her boyfriend,That goes by the name of 32yr old Brendon Jones . They both we’re last seen arguing outside of her home. Sources say he forced her into the trunk of his car at gun point,sources say there were no license plate on the vehicle.
Later that night police responded to a 911 call that someone seen someone off of old Humboldt rd dumping what it looks like a body out on the highway next to family fun center . When authorities arrived it was identified that it was the body of ms Bowen .she was pronounced dead at the scene . Police caught Brendon on I40 headed to the highway but he jumped out on foot shooting at police and got away . Authorities are still looking for Mr Jones he was last scene wearing dark blue jeans and black shirt ,he also has tattoo above his eyelids if you have any information about this homicide please contact
