Double Shooting in Overbrook Park

OVERBROOK PARK — Philadelphia police are investigating a double shooting in the Overbook Park section of the city.

Police were called around 10:40 p.m. Thursday to Haverford Road and City Avenue.

Arriving officers found a 25-year-old man shot in the chest, arm and leg.

He is hospitalized in critical condition.

Police say the man was located near an unoccupied black 2016 Ford Fusion, which had a gun, spent shells, and blood inside.

As police searched the area they found a second shooting victim, described as being in his mid-20’s. He was discovered at 77th Street and City Avenue. He had been shot multiple times and is in critical condition.

The names of the victims have not been released.

Police are looking for an African American male by the name of Malcolm Shareef. He is presumed to be armed and dangerous. If you have any leads leading up to his arrest, please dial 911.
