A local man is “on a quest” to keep Jean Shorts fashionable.
Jeffery has been fighting for these dubious and precariously awkward jean shorts, or “jorts”, for years around the nation. Channel 23 caught up with Jeffery at a recent Star Wars convention. “I’ve been wearing jorts since they were in style back in the ’90s. As comfortable and versatile as they are, why would they go out of style?”, Jeffery stated in an exclusive interview. He explained that attending various comic and movie conventions wearing these questionable fashion phenomena has helped him spread his message. “I like them. I don’t care what anybody says”, he told Channel 23. “Sooner or later, perhaps later than sooner, these staples of summer style will make a triumphant return to men’s go-to warm weather clothing”, said an exuberant Jeffery.
Co-workers at the Ace Tomato Company, where Jeffery works as a Protection Specialist, echoed Jeffery’s love of his “jorts”. “Every time I see him come into work, he’s wearing his jorts”, stated Eddie, who works with Jeffery. “He even wears them in the middle of winter. No matter if it’s snowing and sleeting, it’s like he’s a modern day sasquatch.”, Eddie continued.
Channel 23 will continue to follow this developing story as Jeffery continues to forge ahead on his perilous and fruitless efforts to bring a dead ’90s fashion tread back to life.
