Feds: Man known as ‘Adam Vandehey’ led violent pot trafficking ring between Bay Area and Montana

OAKLAND — Federal authorities say they’ve busted marijuana traffickers who were taking hydroponically grown pot from Northern California through the Bay Area to Louisiana.

Last week, a federal grand jury indicted both Adam Vandehey — who federal authorities say was also known as “Playboy” — and his wife, Reina “Giggles” Vandehey, on a single count of conspiracy to distribute more than 100 kilograms of marijuana. They face up to 40 years in prison.
