“I’ve been working since I turned 15 all the up until about 3 years ago when my fourth child was born. Now I am a mother of five and planned on going back to work full time after my youngest began preschool. Money has been tight with a big family, but now we won’t have to worry about college tuitions and ither expenses. I will now only have to work part time later in life.” said the Kitty. “When I told my husband he was in shock I think. I plan on using at least 20% of this money to help the community. We’ll see what God has planned.”

Kitty bought her ticket at the Shell gas station, located off Highway 78 across from Walmart Market in Snellville, GA.

“I never play the lottery, but for some reason I decided to buy two tickets. One for myself and one for my husband. I didn’t really expect to win. I still can’t believe this. My whole world has changed. I don’t think it has really sunk in yet.”

The woman visited Georgia State Lottery headquarters in Atlanta on Monday to claim her big prize. She elected to take a one-time lump-sum payment of $2.5 million instead of the annuity.

“Winning hasn’t sunk in yet. I don’t think I will believe it until I get an alert on my phone from the bank showing the huge balance in my account. We haven’t told anyone yet. Not even my parents. Surprise Mom and Dad, I am buying y’all a vacation home. Thank you Jesus. ” the player said.
