In a surprise move, the former owners of Hotshots Sports Bar have come to an arrangment with the city to re-open this fall.
“We’ve been working hard behind closed doors” said Sascha Mehalick. “Things came together a little slower than we expected. But it’s progressing nicely.”
The popular venue for local musicians closed down 3 years ago, and downtown Glens Falls hasn’t been the same since.
“We really missed them.” gushed Mayor Jack Diamond. “The street just hasn’t been the same without them. Business as a whole has suffered in that area since the closing. We’re more than ecstatic that they will re-open and they have our full support”.
A significant amount of the city grant is being set aside for a full overhaul of the property.
