Kimberly Webber, 23 arrested after high speed chase

After a car chase through state lines, a suspect was caught and charged with fleeing and attempting to elude and trafficking about two pounds of methamphetamine. The chase began about 3 p.m. Wednesday when a deputy noticed a white Subaru Impreza traveling south on Interstate 75 with extremely dark window tint. The deputy then attempted to conduct a traffic stop, said Capt. Jones with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. “But they took off running,” Jones said.
The suspects got off the interstate at Exit 11 and continued south into Ohio

Oakland County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Ohio’s nearby County Sheriff’s Office and the Madison Police Department.

Eventually, the suspect stopped at an address in Madison, where the chase continued on foot, Jones said. At that point, Madison County utilized its K9 unit to track down and apprehend the suspect. The suspect was identified as Kimberly Webber, 23, of Oakland County

Webber is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a illegal firearm, possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime, obstruction of an officer, fleeing and attempting to elude, possession of marijuana and trafficking methamphetamine, Jones said.

Webber is currently being held at the Oakland County jail. Bond is $100,000.
