Lamar Alumni arrested on embezzlement charges

Jason Bell of Lumberton, Tx arrest on embezzlement charges

Jun. 30, 2017

Beaumont, Tx- Jason Bell was arrested earlier today in San Antonio for embezzlement charges reaching back to 2015 when he worked in Houston racking up a total of $1.2M.

After graduating Lamar with his Masters in Accounting in 2012 Jason began drinking heavily; an addiction that his CPA salary couldn’t keep up with. His drinking led to the development of an alter identity/Alias ‘Jerone’ which brought him to a dark place.

Jerone wrecked a rental car in Missouri after drinking 2.5 Smirnoffs. When the police arrived he blew a .15 BAC almost twice the legal limit. Detective Matty Westside, lead investigator of the case, thinks that is when Jerone decide to start embezzling money from multiple Houston corporations that he had unlimited access to their accounts and finances. He set up multiple accounts under his alias Jerone which made it difficult for investigators to track him down.

Jason ‘Jerone’ Bell faces up to 8 years in a federal penitentiary and a good anal invasion from bubba and the boys.
