Local arrested foe blocking traffic for turtle crossing

Chiemi Karube, a local resident of Blount County, was arrested this evening for blocking traffic on Alcoa highway in an attempt to help a family of turtles cross the busy highway safely. When police arrived and tried to remove her, she assaulted an officer by punching him in the face and running off screaming “Turtle lives matter!” Although successful in her mission, Ms Karube earned herself a visit to Blount County Jail. The injured officer is expected to make a full recovery.
