LOCAL DRUG CARTEL

On Thursday, June 29th local police were called in on a noise complaint coming from the residence of one Joseph Edwards. Police on scene described the suspect as “unsuspicious” as they asked him to keep the noise down. Officer Richard Head suspected otherwise as he pushed his way into the residence. As Officer Head took a look around the house he found a partially open hatch in the floor where he found a room filled with kilos of cocaine. Mr Edwards has since been found to have 6 other locations of operations where he would move drugs all over North Carolina. Mr Edwards has been placed under a $1,000,000 secured bond. Police say that $4,500,000 in drugs has been found thus far and that number is still growing. The locations had been supplying North Carolina and more for years and police expect this bust to put a dent in drug moving in the area. We expect he was working with Mexican cartel. If anyone has anymore information regarding locations of possible drug outlets please call crime stoppers. 1-800-BIG-JOKE
