Kirk Carman, 48, of Lexington, Ky is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center after setting fire to the hedges that surround his property. Carman claims that he loves his hedges & the hours spent trimming them in the heat & that they spontaneously combusted. Spectators say that they could see the smoke for miles. Nobody was injured during the four alarm fire.
