Local Raeford Electrician Fights of Bear on Job Site

Just before 1pm June 30, 2017 Jody Cummings a local electrician working in Whispering Pines as he was walking out to his work van to get some materials when he was attacked from behind by a black bear. Jody was amazingly able to grab the bear and put him into a choke hold until the bear passed out. Then he was able to call local police they arrived quickly but not quite fast enough the bear ran off into the nearby woods.
