NYS Dept. of Environmental Coservation set to release several hundred Rattlesnakes in West Cameron.

The NYSDEC is set to release around 200 Rattlesnakes in their newly developed habitat on Angel Rd. in the town of Cameron. The site will be known as West Cameron Rattlesnake Sanctuary. It and it’s sister site in the town of Rathbone are thought to be the only 2 such sites in NYS. Local residents are applauding the DEC’s decision to release the snakes there. They will be a much welcomed addition to the recent release of 4 mated pairs of Mountain lions and Bigfoots.
