Joshua Marmelstein (born March 19, 2001) was born in Lakewood, New Jersey on a cold and stormy Monday morning, and on this same day, tragedy struck when his parents, Gloria and Edward Marmelstein, had found that their newborn baby boy had been stolen from the hospital room he had been patiently waiting for his parents in.
“It happened so fast,” Mr. Marmelstein added, “our baby boy was ready to come home with us and within minutes of our arrival at the hospital, he was gone without a trace.”
Police reports and new DNA evidence unveiled at the scene reveal that a possible suspect in the case is that then 32-year-old Celso Maldonado (now aged 49) was the perpetrator in the kidnapping.
“I hope that the police can finally bring us peace of mind, that somewhere out there, our little Joshua is safe,” Mrs. Marmelstein added.
