At approximately 9 am this morning, local police on tip from an anonymous person conducted a raid at the home of David Ruiz, 36, in the Orangecrest area of Riverside.
Law enforcement from multiple local and Federal agencies conducted the joint raid on the home believing the suspect to be in possession of multiple assault weapons.
As law enforcement approached the front and rear doors, the suspect yelled out “come and take em!” and proceeded to throw out multiple camouflaged rubber sex toys from a 2nd story window. Two officers, one from the ATF, and a local Sheriff’s deputy were injured when struck by the large phallic shaped toys.
Inside the home, officers arrested the suspect, Mr. Ruiz, on multiple counts of of felony assault weapons violations, assault on a peace officer, and resisting arrest. Also drugs were found inside the home, hidden in 3 bathroom medicine cabinets.
