Undercover drug dealer busted on arrival

At 9 am this morning Jose George of the West Bank Demerara was busted with cocaine at the Buxton village East Coast Demerara.

The Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) intercepted him at the buxton village along with Clive Hutson who claimed to be his taxi driver, as he was about to make is accomplish his his transaction.
According to reports, the young man was about to do the exchange when the bust was made on this morning(Friday , 30 June, 2017) by agents of CANU.
Drug bustInformation has revealed that the man, who was travelling in a black tinted Toyota Vios which was said to be taxied by Clive Hutson , was intercepted with some 4.5 pounds of cocaine that was concealed in a straw bag he was carrying in the vehicle.

As persons continue to find the most innovative ways to traffic narcotics in and out of Guyana, anti-narcotics officials have become more vigilant and diligent in their operations, particularly at the country’s main port of entry – the Cheddi Jagan International Airport.
Only last month, ranks attached to the Police Narcotics Branch seized six kilograms and four grams of cocaine at the CJIA that was destined to be shipped to the US.
According to Police officials, the drugs were found in a cargo shipment of frozen fish concealed in a number of boxes.
