Aloma Elementary School to remain closed until further notice due to a roof collapse

Aloma Elementary School in Winter Park, FL will be closed until further notice after it was discovered earlier this week that a roof had collapsed. The all of the contents in Ms. Batchelor, Ms. Eckerson, Ms. Orlebeke and Mrs. Vroman’s classrooms have been destroyed. Inspections are underway to find out if repairs can be made by the beginning of the school year. “If repairs cannot be made in time Ms. Batchelor, Ms. Eckerson, Ms. Orlebeke and Mrs. Vroman will not have to report to work until all repairs are completed” said Dr. Jennifer Sanders, Principal.
