Since Saturday Doctor Who fans have been in uproar about the choice of the new Doctor being a woman, even though the Doctor is a alien time traveller who can change his appearance and gender.

With no choice the BBC had to act fast and rethink their ideas and speaking to Daniel Stevens of BBC Drama he explains their new idea.

‘We had to abort the idea of a woman doctor and go back to the drawing board, were we came up with a amazing idea that is more believable than a woman playing the role.’
Daniel with a big grin on his face carried on saying ‘ We are giving the part to a horse because we feel this is the perfect choice and I’m surprised why we didn’t do it in the first place.’

Daniel then explained he had always been a fan of Mr. ED and said that show worked which means this will work for Doctor Who also.
I tried tracking down the lucky horse who will be taking on the role of the Doctor and found out it is a 6 year old former grand national runner called Harry the Horse. I approached Harry for a interview, but he refused to comment, or it was just because he’s a horse and horses don’t talk.

This news of course will bring a new chapter to the adventures of the Doctor and asking Peter Calpali who is leaving what he thought of the last minute changes he said

‘ I will not change ….. into a horse’

I also asked him what he thought of the future of the show and he just calmly said ‘Titanic’ I’m guessing he would like that covered as an adventure in the future.

He rounded off by saying ‘ I’m glad I’m going I don’t want to end up the second Sylvester McCoy’

I then asked Sylvester McCoy what he meant and he said ‘I have no idea I’m the only Sylvester McCoy I know.’

You can see Harry take over the role on Christmas Day.
