Chicago man from the burbs wins 5 million dollars on lunch with a scratch-off

Mike Boress of Palatine IL recently experienced a superb stroke of luck while running errands for his girlfriend. Mike won the $5 million top prize playing the IL Lottery’s scracth-off Jumbo Bucks scratcher.

Seven elleven, located 753 W Palatine Rd in Palatine, sold the winning ticket.

Mike said that his girlfriend had asked him to get her stamps from the store when he decided to purchase the ticket.

“My girl friend asked me to go and pick up stamps” he said. “I bought a ticket since I was already there.”

After scratching the lucky ticket and realizing that it was a winner, store owner said that he immediately left the store to call his girlfriend.
