In a surprise announcement by President Trump the hugely (pun intended) unpopular governor of New Jersey will be appointed national commissioner of harness racing.
With his governorship coming to a wildly unpopular end and no other options Christie reluctantly accepted the position. He spoke recognizing the irony in the situation, citing his attempt to kill horse racing in the Garden State and now taking charge of the sport on a national level.
“Who knows, maybe two negatives will make a positive. I really don’t care, the pay is good and one got mouths to feed. And, I’ve always loved horses,” said Christie “they are delicious!”
He takes over immediately.
