Cubs trade Zobrist and Happ to Tigers in seven player deal

In an effort to bolster their starting pitching rotation the Chicago Cubs have traded Ben Zobrist, Kyle Schwarber, rookie phenom Ian Happ and minor league pitcher Trevor Clifton to the Detroit Tigers for veteran pitchers Justin Verlander, Michael Fulmer catcher Alex Avila and cash. The deal is pending physicals.
