Ichneumon Wasp Invades Hubbard ,TX

The ichneumon is a species of parasitic wasp generally concentrated in regions south of the border with Mexico. Somehow, it’s man-eating mandibles have made their way to the small town of Hubbard in Central Texas. The problem, they have been removed from their natural hosts, which is almost exclusively the Mexican beaded lizard, and some other hairless reptiles. For reasons unknown to science, they have turned to humans as a host. Without being aware of the sting, the insect deposits microscopic eggs while also transferring harmful bacteria. Unaware, victims go for days without medical attention until physical symptoms become problematic. Often, it is too late.
