Illinois Residents being Refused to Live in Surrounding States

From Iowa to Indiana and other surrounding States bordering Illinois, legislatures are looking at ways to keep new residents from illinois out, according to Illinois Governor.

Governor stated the talks recently came up during the Governors meeting regarding the influx of Illinoisans wanting to move elsewhere. Governor Rauner stating the influx of people leaving the state has been contributed by more and more taxes and the recently passed Illinois bill to add 89 more tollbooths in the Chicagoland area.

Governor Rainer said the compounding issues of this state needs to be looked at before no companies nor residents want to reside here.

States around Illinois have already started legislation “wording” on Illinois residents moving to their state. Governor of Indiana states that “they’re [Illinoisans] flooding our state at an increase where it becomes unhealthy…we don’t need them.”
