JFRD Firefighter Breaks Engine

JFRD is once again in the news. Wednesday July 19th at approximately 4 pm. Firefighter Daniel Anderson taking no regards for procedure or safety to his fellow officers filled the diesel tank of the Engine with DEF fluid. This caused Engine 26 to be taken out of service and crew to have to swap into a spare truck leading to the public being unprotected. This will now cost the city between 10 and 20 thousand dollars to be fixed. Not to mention man hours lost. This raises the question of how these firefighters can and should be held accountable. The upcoming raises that have just been agreed upon are now in danger of being reversed due to punitive damages that are now plaguing our city. Fire fighter Anderson refused when asked to comment on this situation. Stay tuned for updates to this breaking story.
