Joseph Leblanc was found to have kidnapped, Broadway star, Lin Manuel Miranda. Lin was found chained to a shed wall at Joseph’s residence in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
Authorities first went after Joseph’s father, Dan, but he soon pointed them in the right direction. His son was taken into custody. After many questions in an interrogation room, it became quite clear what had happened.
Lin Manuel was visiting Cape Canaveral when Joseph spotted him and invited him inside, asking for a signature. When Lin agreed however, he was attacked and chained.
“I don’t remember, one moment I was signing a shirt, the next I was chained to a wall. Time flies.” Says Lin.
Joseph is not going to prison, however, because Lin Manuel decided not to press charges.
“He seems like a good kid. We all have kidnapped a Broadway star once or twice in our lives. When I was 12 I kidnapped Andrew Lloyd Webber.” Lin explained.
