MGM Purchases Bondi’s Island Waste Treatment Plant

Springfield MA-
City Officials here have announced the completion of a purchase and sales agreement with MGM Resorts International for the entire 934 Acre Bondi’s Island from the City of Springield. “This agreement once again demonstrates the strength of our relationship with the City of Homes and its officials. We are excited for the opportunities this gives our company and the current MGM Springfield project, with this acquisition we plan on using cutting edge building technology to begin the transition from waste water treatment plant to beautiful resort island” said MGM’s Senior Vice President of Real Estate John Turdwater.
Plans for the project call for the creation of a second tier of land built over the existing treatment facility that will look no different than actual grounds, complete with buildings and roadways. Officials are ambitiously aggressive about having it open by August of next year. “We will begin with round the clock white beach sand for the coastline being trucked in by the trailer load..this wil start by the end of this month. With over 300 million cubic yards of sand being in place by next summer.” said project manager Louis Stools. MGM Bondi Resort plans currently call for 1 Resort Hotel, 2 Water Parks, Para Sailing & Water Adventures Beach and more. Year round offerings include 4 restaurants and the second location of Cabot Comedy Club in Chicopee. Cabot has an amazing $10 Comedy & Dinner Show every Thursday night as well as great weekend shows featuring world class talent, for example, this Sunday, America’s Got Talent Finalist Tom Cotter will perform one show..limited tix still available www.cabotcomedy.com for tix & info.
