New Hampshire Closes Border to Massachusetts as Liquor Supplies Dwindle

New Hamshire State Officials announced today at Noon that the State Border with Massachusetts will be closed indefinitely as the state’s liquor supplies have been depleted due to the indefinite closing of the Braga Bridge in Fall River, MA. The route into Rhode Island, effectively being shut down indefinitely, has resulted in a relentless flow of traffic from MA heading north into NH of alcohol consumers, desperate to obtain Adult Beverages for the endless summer party schedules in the Bay State. New Hampshire Governor Sununu could not be reached for comment, however, Governor Charlie Baker of MA, reached in a long line outside an NH State Liquor store, quipped “this too shall pass, just like the MA Legislative Pay Raises and the soon to come taxes on soda and candy items.” The new funding source will be used to repair the Braga Bridge, he noted, as he chugged on an open container of Jack Daniels.
