Newly discovered tick-borne illness – Symptoms begin as muscle spasms

Spread by ticks in Southeast Missouri, this newly discovered disease is still unknown to many. Symptoms begin as soon as 2 days from the host having any kind of contact with a tick carrying the disease. Scientist who are studying the disease are calling it “Spaz-tick-itis.” It is not yet known how long the symptoms last, or what long term effects it has on the person contracting the disease.
