OJ Simpson Parole hearing scheduled for July 20th.

Former NFL star Orenthal James Simpson known as OJ or “Juice” is scheduled to go before the Nevada State Parole board in just a couple of days. If he is granted Parole he could be out as early as October first of this year. OJ now at age 70 has preserved well in prison and kept himself in pretty good shape but is not his appearance or age that will be the factor when the Parole board decides weather or not to grant him his freedom. An early release on Parole does not mean Mr.Simpson is not still serving a sentence a spokesman for the prison where OJ is housed at was quoted as saying “It just means he poses 0 to no threat to the community if given an early release” OJ was sentenced to a 9 to 33 which in Channel 23’s opinion is extremely harsh. It is believed that because OJ beat the Murder wrap for allegedly killing his ex wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman in a California court that Nevada came down so hard on the former NFL star. OJ wrote a novel style memoir that he claimed was fiction called “If I did it” all about the gruesome details if he had infact killed his wife and her friend. In 1994 OJ had become enraged that his wife was reportedly sleeping around and taking drugs was what many believe to be the motive for the double slaying and many were quick to accuse him including the police in his gated community who issued charges on the 2nd day of the double homicide investigation and evidence was painted that there was a bloody trail leading back to the jealous angry OJ. The world remembers that slow police chase OJ took the California Highway Patrol on but in fact he was simply trying to surrender peacefully where he headed back to his home so that the police didn’t shoot him or give him the Rodney King treatment that they were infamous for doing back in the 90’s. His explanation for things was never fully taken into consideration and the incident in Nevada that he is currently sentenced on includes numerous counts of assault armed robbery kidnapping weapons violations but OJ himself never carried a gun or weapon of any kind. He was trying to get back sports memorabilia that in fact belonged to him but he set up a buy at a hotel room and showed up with a squadron of armed goons and demanded back his items. Of course those men holding OJ’s items at ransom ratted and contacted authorities stating they were just held up by OJ Simpson and with not one but two pending road rage incidents still pending was the factor that played into the harsh sentencing and even though a California Jury gave Juice a Not Guilty verdict it still left a stigma from California to Nevada. The way the Parole hearing is set up is that he will be heard only on what he is currently sentenced on and the victims are not opposed to OJ serving the remainder of his sentence out of prison. If all goes well for the former star he will be just months away from release and he can spend his glory years with family and it’s quite clear if OJ is granted an early out the strict conditions of his parole will prevent any new offenses of any kind to be committed and if that doesn’t fit than I think we all need to quit. Channel 23 recently received an email saying “give Bill Cosby OJ’s cell” hash tag “free Juice” It is likely OJ will die serving this sentence it will never go away and he can’t beat it but he shouldn’t have to die in prison is what many feel including his victims the ones that are alive anyways.
