Robert William Bretthorst of Hammond Indiana is now facing felony charges against a man who worked for Bretthorsts’ parents. He allegedly attacked a man with a knife after showing signs of erratic behavior. “Bretthorst has a lengthy record” says Valparaiso prosecuting attorney Matthew Frost, including dealing drugs, threatening the lives of police officers all over the U.S., and has been arrested multiple times for domestic disputes many times, being violent towards women, and a heavy heroin addiction according to Frost.
Frost says there is little chance of Bretthorst actually winning this trial and that he has faith he has a indisputable argument proving Bretthorsts’ guilt. “We are also looking into a string of robberies that we believe Bretthorst may have commit.”
