Saugus Woman Arrested for Handicap Placard Violations

A Saugus woman was arrested for improperly using a deceased relatives handicap placard to gain access to prime parking spots for years. Donna Palandro, 72, of Central Street was stopped by Sgt. Matt Vecchio after noticing her skip from her front row spot at Stop and Shop into the store. Sgt. Vecchio waited patiently to see Mrs. Palandro return carrying 17 shopping bags and four donation boxes of food for the homeless. An investigation has been launched into Mrs. Palandro’s part in several food bank robberies in the area.

Mrs. Palandro wrestled with Sgt. Vecchio before being subdued with a taser. Sgt. Vecchio foudn over 175 selfies on Mrs. Plandro’s i-phone showing her posing in front of various handicap parking signs. Mrs. Palandro may be the state’s most notorious serial abuser of the placard system.
