School Bus Drivers in WV Now Required to Use Personal Vehicles

Beginning in August 1, 2017, school bus drivers in WV will be required to use their personal vehicle to transport students. This is the beginning of a new cost saving measure proposed by Governor Jim “Goober” Justice. The new law will require bus drivers to make as many trips as necessary to transport the students along their route. School Bus operator Sandy Young, 25, of Boone County said this will create a hardship for her family. “I ain’t got no car big enough to haul all these kids! They want me to use my car and that are just wrong!” The law will require bus drivers to pay for their own fuel and wash their cars each week. Bus drivers will be permitted to panhandle for fuel under the new law. Bus driver Calvin Holstein, 78, Of Boone County says “it sure will be easier to wash a car than a school bus”.
