In an effort to bring the costs of the Senate Intelligence Committee investigation of President Donald J. Trump under control, Trump in a tweet, has accused himself of colluding with the Russians who it is believed interfered in November’s presidential election. In a tweet last Tuesday, Trump said “Investigation costs too high. I accuse myself of collusion. Sad.”

Whitehouse Spokesperson, Terry Nehigh, told the New Times “The President believes the American people have spent too many tax dollars on an investigation that is going nowhere. Therefore, to minimize expenses, he is now accusing himself of colluding with the Russians to win the election. Trump hopes we can now turn to the next phase of the investigation which would be to refund the American taxpayers the expense of this investigation and bring to light the fact that the Russians had no part to play in any conspiracy to interfere in the last election.” Nehigh said the Whitehouse expects the refund checks to be approximately $3219.27 per person.
