Tyler Seibring Transferring to West Virginia University

Rising Junior Tyler Seibring has finalized his decision to transfer from Elon University to West Virginia University in Morgantown. The 6’8 forward lead the team in both points (14.4) and rebounds (6.9) last season, garnering second team all CAA, and Elon Men’s Basketball Most Valuable Player. Due to NCAA transfer regulations, Seibring will have to sit out for the 2017-2018 season, and will be allowed back on the court for the Mountaineers for the 2018-2019 season.

A economics and english major, Seibring will look to continue his excellence in the classroom, as he was awarded the 2016-17 CAA Men’s Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year. His motivation for transferring was partially academic, as WVU’s business school is in his words “far superior to Elon’s.”
