Urban Meyer resigns as head football coach for Ohio State, scores dream job

Urban Meyer reportedly resigns as head football coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes. At 9:00 a.m this morning Meyers turned in his resignation, as he said “I just want to give Michigan a chance to actually beat Ohio state football, with me leaving that’s the only way that’s going to happen” Meyers coached the Buckeyes for 6 years.

Born in Toledo, Ohio, Meyer is a devout Roman Catholic and on several occasions has referred to the head coaching position at the University of Notre Dame as his “dream job,” leading to speculation that he would someday wish to coach there.

Today, his wish came true. After immediately turning in his resignation papers, Meyer and his family flew to South Bend airport and arrived by limo at the University of Notre Dame’s football stadium, where he is thought to have sealed the deal on his dream job.
