wanted for murder

A woman suspected of arranging the death of a romantic rival was added to the FBI’s list of 10 most wanted fugitives this week, becoming the ninth woman to be added to the criminal lineup since 1950.

Unlike others who have earned this anti-honor, such as 9/11 attacker Osama bin Laden and Boston mob boss James E. “Whitey” Bulger, she is suspected in the death of only one person.

Wanted by the FBI: Yolanda Torres

Houston homicide detectives told the FBI that the victim was gathering his belongings from his car when a gunman approached from behind and shot him. He died a short time later.

The FBI is after her for “unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.”

FBI officials call the jilted Torres a “master manipulator,” who recruited one of her co-conspirators after telling him she had cartel ties and could supply him with drugs, as well as money and a car. That man and a woman, who officials believe was the getaway driver during the Jan 5 crime, she is still a fugitive. Torres has been charged with capital murder.

Agents say that she should be considered armed and dangerous.

The FBI is offering up to a $100,000 reward for information that leads directly to Torres arrest.
